Body piercing hit in the mid 1990's and took Dorset by storm in the summer of 1997. Never before had young people had the freedom of aesthetic expression. X-Vee One Eleven was Weymouth's first
body piercing studio. It was owned by Tony Smith, Mentor and Founder of the Guild of British Body Piercers. After completing her apprenticeship in 1998, Emma became the first female
piercer in town, which was instrumental in her success; everyone wanted piercing and business soared. In 2001, Emma moved to VIA Body Piercing Centre where she continued for a number of
years. Isha Body Jewellery was established in 2015 for online jewellery sales and it is run by both Emma and her daughter who share a passion for body art and its aesthetic elegance.
In 2018, after several years at Black Rose Tattoo Studio, Emma took her skills and experience in body piercing and jewellery to Dorchester Aesthetics Centre (DAC). Her friendly and
welcoming nature perfectly compliment the wide-ranging beauty treatments available there. DAC is the only beauty salon in Dorset to offer body piercing!
As west Dorset's longest established female
Body Piercer, Emma is in demand and only available on Saturdays (by appointment only). Along with her background, Emma brings skills and
experience from emergency nursing and first aid, an empathic view of piercing and her knowledge on jewellery suitability.
The interest in aesthetic adornments remains with many of us who enjoyed it's insurgence in the 1990's. This has continued through to the next generation and we are seeing much more in the form of
extreme body modification. As such, we want to offer a range of stylish body jewellery and advice for all of you sharing our interest. With a background spanning 20 years in body piercing, we
can not only advise on suitable jewellery types for each piercing but correct placement and sizing too; a unique and more personal touch in jewellery sales.
