At Dorchester Aesthetics Centre, we use 2 different lasers: 3D-Trilogyice and SHR. We require consultations prior to your first treatment, allowing us to choose the right laser for your skin and hair type. This creates the most effective treatment plan for your laser hair removal journey.
Alternatively, we also offer electrolysis. Electrolysis uses a fine probe to deliver a small electrical current directly into the hair follicle. This process destroys the follicle's ability to produce new hair, offering a permanent solution for unwanted hair. It is a safe, effective treatment that is suitable for all hair types.

Our 3D-Trilogyice laser allows us to provide a comfortable, effective hair reduction treatment, suitable for most skin and hair types. This combines the benefits of three wavelengths, allowing maximum results compared to just a single wavelength. By targeting hair at different depths, the treatment ensures precise, comfortable, and efficient hair removal with long-lasting results.
ALEX
Alexandrite wavelength is the shortest of the 3, allowing for the greatest absorbency of the melanin chromophore. This provides the best solution for the widest range of hair types and colour, especially light coloured and thin hair.
DIODE
The Diode wavelength is very effective on darker skin types but is comparatively less effective on lighter finer hair. Its deep penetration levels offer best results for skin types 1-4.
YAG
The YAG wavelength allows for moderate energy by the melanin chromophore providing the optimum solution for darker skin types.
SHR at Dorchester Aesthetics
SHR laser is a revolutionary technology that improves upon traditional IPL laser treatments, offering safe, painless hair removal and skin rejuvenation for all skin and hair types, even in the summer. By using controlled bursts of energy, SHR gradually heats the hair follicle, effectively preventing future hair growth. With lower temperature settings, it provides greater comfort, especially for fine hair on the face and body. During your consultation, we will assess your needs and determine whether SHR or the 3D Trilogyice treatment is best suited for you.
